temper seem to get worse every year. They start to throw a huge fits like a 3 years old (stomping feet, throw things, yell loudly, bang things, broken thing, sometime lay down and kicks) Especially over many small things such as spilling drink, losing a pen or lighter, etc...

I don't mean all those who are near to 50 act like this. My mom is approaching that age and she NEVER act anything like this. I have a couple friends who are close to that age or older and neither of them act like that. I hope I didn't offend anyone.

Oh man! No it's not my mom that is having this problem. She is fine. Sorry for the confusion. It's about someone else.

Well yes they say when you get to 50, your going into your second childhood. As for men they are always like little boys need lots of attention and hear sweet words. Also they have an ego about being right. So imagine as they get older, grumpy and more sensative. I read some men their hormones go out of wack to. And you know women you can never count on their mood. You just have to be prepared for anything at anytime because our hormone swings are wierd. Sometimes I cant even stand myself. Just be patient with them and teach them how to share what they feel with each other. This could help them be more understanding when one of them is going through their hormone attacks. Just give them lots of love and remind them of their love.

This is not normal behavior. I'm 49, and a lot of my friends are around the same age, and I've never seen any of this type of behavior. If this person never had anger issues before, I would suggest a complete physical and a candid talk with his/her physician. My mother had Alzheimer's, and although it didn't with her, I learned through my research that with some people, when they realize something isn't right, they lash out. It's a defensive mechanism that camoflauges their confusion.

Well i would video tape his actions if you can and let him watch his/herself. My dad does some of those things but not the floor thing he is about 67 years old. He does throws fits like a 3 year old. we just tell him he is acting like my 4 year old. We do not have a video tape recorder but if we did we would tape him and show him. My dad who i was talking about he even gets mad sometimes for cutting the neighbor's grass with his lawn mower but we just ignore him bc she is a widow and we got tired of telling him over and over why we help her so you could do that just ignore him that is what we do just let him rant and do whatever adn do not pay him any attention or even acknowlege that he is even there when he is in his ranting and behaving like a 3 year old.
maybe you could just leave when he/she is doing this but if he does get too violent i would take him to the doctor bc my dad does not hurt ne one he just acts like a 3 year old.
well good luck

Take her first to a doctor, then to a psychiatrist if the doctor recommends one.
You're playing with your mother's physical and mental health by asking for help on a crazy internet forum. While this is a good place to get practical advice about simple things, and of course to rant about something meaningless, it's no place to get medical advice for someone who is having problems.
Do the right thing. Get professional help for your mother.
Good luck and best wishes to both of you!

After almost half a century of this sh*t, wouldn't you be cranky, too? Besides, at that age, one's parents are too old to do anything about such behavior in their child. And, the 50-year old child is too old to be sent to detention.
As you mature, you'll begin to see more clearly why life sucks.
Best of luck.

some everyone seems to be interested in mature enterprise. possibly she had to enhance up swifter than those round her. There are constantly human beings who prefer greater mature (agewise) enterprise. it is common and not "a controversy." It would not would desire to be dealt with. there are countless motives she would be interested in older adult males, although that is not a topic for her. possibly provide some greater information. What approximately it bothers you? i understand approximately 0.5 a dozen couples with over 20 years distinction in age. it is in no way a topic for the couple; quite those around them.

I would say that it is a serious anger management problem, or perhaps even mental illness. Be sure and keep yourself safe from him! Something else is bothering him besides these small annoyances you mentioned.

I wouldn't know, I'm only half way there but from what I have witnessed you are correct. I think it has to do with mid life crisis! Hence the term...'mid-life'!
