I was told after a D & C or after child birth that you can have positive pregnancy tests as long as 6 weeks after the procedure. I would talk to your Dr and see what he has to say about that. I am going back about 20 years with my info. Here are a couple of pages where people have asked that same question. The best of luck to you and your future.

After having 2 losses myself (one natural one d&c) I have to wonder why you would start TTC again so soon. That was the reason I lost my 2nd baby - I got pregnant too soon after the 1st loss. I would ask your Dr if there is still enough hcg in the blood to test positive.... and if you are not pregnant I would recommend waiting until you have at least had 1 period if not 2... let your body get back to normal.... and if you are pregnant I wish you the best of luck. And sorry for your loss.

Chances are I beleive that you would not test pg at this stage. The hormone levels drop dramatically after the placenta is removed, that is the reason for all the postpartum stuff. I am not a dr but I am not sure that yours would recommend to you to ttc so quickly. Your body many need time to regulate and I am sure you need time to grieve the loss. I wish you all the best.

I doubt its the old count showing up, I think you may be pregnant again. BTW I read somewhere that women remain very fertile right after a pregnancy, that may be the reason so many of my friends and cousins have kids just 12-14 months apart.
