I use the Loreal "Pure zone" (3 step routine)..my face is a little sticky after that..im not sure if i can apply powder foundation on top of my sticky/moisturized face?..

It is very important to determine the type of your skin before you go on choosing the Foundation. I believe you mean combination skin, in this case you need to purchase a really good brand that has the absorption effect within the formula.
Yes you can do the above steps and then apply a liquid foundation followed by powder. (Estee Lauder has a wide variety of natural powder foundations that does enhance the appearance of your skin).
Try oil absorbent ant from Versace, or pore tightener from clinique. it will help make your face more matty.

why don't you leave a good moisturiser on all night all even during the day at home when not going out. Then you can cleanse, tone, add a make up foundation then powder.

You might want to check out another type of brand. I use Clinique 3 step formula.. It does pretty much the same thing.... Cleanses, tones, and moistures.. but my skin doesn't feel sticky afterwards..

how about ernsuring the moisturise is absorbed first?
else u'll end up with lumpy and uneven foundation
