some teams hold open tryouts, but u'd have to contact them to find out for sure.

I do not know if you have to be of a certain age to be eligible to play on a professional football team in the Arena Leagues. As for skill - there are NFL players who never played high school nor college football. The only stipulation is your age, in the NFL anyway, because they require you to wait until you have at least the opportunity to play in college a couple of years before you become pro. That's the issue Maurice Clarett sued the NFL over, and lost.

arena football is not a professional sport, they do have tryouts and if you do have played college football, chances of being accepted to join will be greater, btw, they do not pay nearly as much as the NFL. 9 times out of 10, you do need to have a full time job though

you can just try out. keep your ears open and if your city has a team they will anaounce it.
