Probably the only way it would be increasingly important in U.S. history would be that there was a time when only white men voted and had any power in the U.S. Awful as previous racial inquality was in the history of the country, it wasn't much of a factor when it came to influencing change and having power.

As racial equality in the eyes of the government (and most people) has come along any race now has a voice and the power to affect change through its votes. In addition, since people of all races now hold positions of power they have yet more voice, as well as act as role models for the youth of their own race.

While race may have at one time been seen as only an "issue", today different races are often what have changed the complexion of power and voice in the United States.

In many ways as the concept of race has shrunken it has, in doing so, made increasingly important changes of historical proportions in the U.S.

It was used to create differences. In Britain class has been used as a way to differentiate. The US sought to create a more equal country that did not have the strong class system of Europe. However, they still wanted to allow 'higher' and 'lower' people. Thus race came in handy. Race became even more cruel because it was something that could not be changed.

It isn't. We're all from the same race really. We're all homo sapiens. Maybe there are sub-species in humans like there are in other animals. So Asians, Africans, Europeans might all be sub-species of Homo Sapiens with slight biological differences. But that would likely promote the belief that one sub-species is dominant - just like racism. We're all the same where genus and species are concerned. Maybe we should just leave it at that. We all breathe the same air. We all bleed red blood. I'm cool with it personally. I wish everyone was.

We are all interconnected on a spiritual level. The government doesn't want us to know that. They want us to have divisions and riots about race so that they can implement martial law and THESE plans!...
