Try adding salt for freshwater fish to the tank. It will kill the ich and help protect the fish from other problems. Try cutting down the feed to half of what you normally feed, it takes a lot to starve your fish, but it is really easy to kill them from giving them too much

If the white dots are the size of table salt, the disease is ick and the medication you need is Super Ick Cure made by Aquarium Pharmaceuticals or there is another product called Nox Ick. Ick is a parasite and raising the temperature of the water in the tank will speed up the process of eliminating it. Raise the temp to 80 for a few days until the fish are cleared up. The disease came from the store where you purchased the fish most likely. Make sure to put the net in your fish tank when you treat so the net is treated too.

Ich or white spot is a parasitic infection that has a life span of 3-6 days. removing the fish will not cure the disease, you must medicate the entire tank. The parasite burrows into the skin of the fish, and the fish's immune system attacks the parasite causing white spots. The parasite then falls off and settles on the bottom of the tank, creating a shell around it and the bursts releasing hundreds more parasites, this is the only time the parasite can be killed, when it is free swimming looking for a new host. Raising the temp. to around 80F will speed up the life cycle, enabling quicker treatment. Buy medication for ich, and continue treating for at least 3-6 days after the ich clears, to ensure all parasites are killed. Type ich in your search browser and all questions will be answered.

You can either try meds or salt to cure your fish but nothing will work if the tank water isn't good. Goldfish need a lot more then what most people think and usually end up killing them because they are ignorant. Goldfish need 10-20 gallons EACH and need a filter that does at least 10x turn over, say you have a 20 gallon tank your filter would have to do at least 200 gph. And if you haven't cycled the tank then most fish wont live.

This disease is known as White spot or Ich Ich and can be caused due to stress, frequent change of temperature or other stresses, malfunctioning of under-gravel filter etc. Acrflavine remedies are available of the shelf, ask ur pet shop. If possible remove the fish and keep in another tank.

Your fish has something called white spots, if not cured it will kill your fish, it spreads quite quickly from one fish to the other... You will need to seperate the fish first, remove them from the water, go down to your nearest pet shop and purchase some white spot solution, clean you fish tank thoroughly and place according drops into the fish tank and allow it to settle in the water, then put your fish back into the tank. This is all you can really do, it should clear up the white spots if it has not spread to badly.

Here check this site out it will explain about white spot desease and the symptoms to look for http://www.petpages.com/article.php/20/192/White-Spot-Disease-Symptoms-And-Cures

have you treated the water? sometimes mold can form inside the take after not using the take for a while causing the fish to react weird. you need to take your fish out of that water and scrub the tank using some of the water treatment stuff. DO NOT use soap on it.
good luck

This could be a number of problems. But sounds more like ich. Just go to a petstore and tell them you have a fish with ich and they will give you what you need there. Follow their directions.
