It goes into a big septic tank under your house, where it's broken down by bacteria. Then it's carried out into the sewage network to ferment for years to come. Toilet water CAN be recycled. In fact, sewage waste can be treated so that pure water molecules are extracted. It's expensive, however. The faucet water you use has the same source as the clean water that pumps into your toilet after you flush.

It goes to a Waste Treatment plant. There it is treated with chemicals to kill deseases. The solids are sepperated from the liquids and both become fertilizer.

It goes through the sewer system. I you want to actually see your poop, or friends, coworkers, etc. look for a show called dirty jobs. It might make you want to barf, but you will see exactly what happens
