If you are a girl then you can wear some lovely long skirt and a nice fittng top or even a loose kurta with a stole.Or else you can wear a blue denim jeans with a sexy top.These days over sized bags are in fashion so match one with your dress.But if you out on a dinner then wear something dark.
If you are a guy then wear a denim blue levi's jeans and a sobe white shirt or a cotton printed shirt.But if you are out on a dinner then wear something dark.

On a first date you want to look casual though sexy at the same time.
Wear your best pair of jeans, heels, and a flaunting top. Tousled hair is in style so crunch it with some mouse while youre blow drying it(if its long). Use some eyeshadow that makes your eye color pop out and try to draw extra attention to them. Also, make your hair smell sweet! Guys love catching that subtle scent.

It depends where you'll be going. But assuming that its coffee, dinner or movies, then make sure you look feminine (had you been a lady) and NOT too desperate. Don't reveal too much skin, it will pass out the wrong message.
