My wife has a low sex drive and while she claims that she is very satisfied sexually, she doesn't seem to want it more than about once every 10 days. I would think that if the sex is good, she'd want it more often. Am I just not doing the right things to get her in the mood? Or am I missing signs?

I believe that it does, but it wouldn't necessarily apply to every woman. My husband and I has always had sex more often then most regardless that we've been together over 13 yrs, but there was a noticeable difference when I reached my 30's. For example: I started having sexual dreams several times a week; that's not normal.

I love being with my husband. There are times that, even though I know I would enjoy it, I just don't feel like having sex. It can be a number of things: busy mind, fatigue, etc..

Make sure you're changing things up in the bedroom (or wherever) and that it's not too quick or take too long
Also, I agree with galbee about the romance, compliments and flirting. I just want to say that both man and woman should do it to each other.

It is a viscous cycle. Men want sex and women want romance. The women wont give the sex, so the men wont give the romance. You wont have a lot of sex without a lot of romance, Sorry.

All men think that if the sex is good we will want it more. No, No and No. We need the compliments, flirting and romance. Think back to how hard you tried when you first met. Sweet talk her and take her out. Buy her flowers. Get dressed up and spray on some cologne. A glass of wine always relaxes a woman.

I would assume you have kids and a hectic schedule. She isn't thinking sex when she goes to bed, she is thinking sleep. You have to give her a reason to feel sexy. Flowers alone don't work, you have to give her attention and appreciate her. Then I promise you that you will be one lucky man.

I didnt answer the 30s question, my answer is "Oh Yeah"

A woman's sex drive is affected by the things she deals with in a daily basis. If you want to get her in the mood try cooking her a nice dinner and do the dishes while she relaxes. She may be very appreciative,.
As to her age, some women find sex more appealing after the child bearing years are behind them.

I hit a slump when I was in my 30's, but once my 40's hit...wooo hoooo! *look out*! It may be just some hormonal changes going on with her & it's quite normal. Ask her what she wants. Maybe she's bored with technique and doesnt' want to say anything. Try new positions...try some romance: wine, candles and sexy music. She will appreciate the effort (theoretically speaking...I don't know her personally).

It must depend on how happy emotionally she is in your relationship. Most all the married women I know over 30 (you can tell by their husbands smiles) have sweet attentive hubbies.

These women get lazy. They want it all and forget about the guy who is giving it to them. Start banging someone else and hopefully she will come around. If not, you are still getting some action.

I have heard this is a myth. So sorry... But I do think women get sexier and more comfortable with their bodies as they age. So that is good.
