Is a CEO that same as an OWNER?
Yes & NO:
Yes, if the owner is the principle executive of the company.
No, if he is appointed by a board of director. In this case, he is an employee.
Who makes more? All depends on the company & the CEO.

It really depends on the type and size of the business. The larger the business (revenue and number of employees), the person at the top, CEO/President makes more money.
The CEO can also be the owner if the company is privately held.

It depends on the company. Sometimes the CEO is the owner and sometimes dont. If it is a big company, like Coke for example, the company is owned by stockholders, and the CEO can be fired by the stockholders if they decide it.

CEO = Chief Executive Officer
I always wondered about this dirt poor guy that I used to know (through my work) who goes on his "garbage walks" and sells the stuff that he gets out of the dump. He technically owns his own business. Is he a CEO? ;)
