I separated from my common law 6 months ago and moved back home, 12 hours away. i left when the baby was 3m. he basically left me for this trip south for work which included spring break. i was so mad i left while he was gone. anyway, in a nutshell, things go out fo hand with the lawyers and a lot of damage was done. i was still hoping to reconcile and he was up to a point and then all of a sudden he wanted separation. i asked him if he met someone else, he said no. i saw him a couple of times after and he seeme distant. i asked him again if he met somone else. he said no. anyway, i just got word that he's been seeing someone for a while, not sure how long, and he's quite content and committed. i was shocked. he had wanted me to sign the separation agreement very quickly last time he was here. i feel he lied to me and i am not sure why, if he just doesn't know how to tell me or if he wants me to sign before getting upset? what do you think?? what should i do? go spy?? was he cheating

Do not sign his separation agreement if it includes child support in it. Check with local attorney about coming up with one. I recommend filing for child custody and support separately from the separation agreement, and let the courts decide. I do think he was dating you in hopes of giving you hope that the relationship could reconcile and convince you to go with the lower child support figure, so he was basically using you in hopes of getting what he wanted. So he took a job out of town to support you and your child and in a fit of childish anger you left him and took his child. And he's the bad guy because he didn't want to play your childish games? Girls...

Spy dective... find out. Be careful... as for childsupport... do what you feel regardless of any relationships or anything. Don't do something out of feelings you have for him.
