go read "Mother Goose" or "Aesop's Fables" on the web (for kids) and get some ideas.

see stories can be of various types :
humor
dramatic
happy
adventures
mystery
anything and everything
pick up any topic and jot down a few lines and frame it
it is as simple as that

try using mythical characters or animals den give it a little twist so ur listeners/readers wouldn't go bored and find 8 fascinating..
