I know excatly what you are going through. WHat i am about to tell you i know it is going to let your hopes down but this is my experience. I was on depo for thress years as soon as i got off i had a period and then i got on the pill. Well I have been bC free since January 28 of 2005. We have been trying to concive since then. I was one of those ones that was always careful even on Bc and i have not become pregnant. I have had very irregular periods, some end up being 45 days and some 36 and some19 and so one. I went to the doctor. They are telling me i need to loose weight and that i am not ovulating with my cycles being 45 days apart. Well She put me on clomid and it is supposed to make you ovulate and it did not make me ovulate. I had 2 periods in august and had one in sept and i am not getting back on medication. My husbancd refuses to go to the doctor and get tested. We are still trying the natural way. I am at the point i am not pressuring him to have sex we have done eveything the doctor has told use. I really want a baby but at this point i just dont care anymore i am trying to focus all my entery on loose weight and saving money and paying off some bills that way when and if i doo get pregnant then i can give my child more. I am tired of trying. I pray that it will happen and i am trying to let nature take its corse. AS FAR AS DEPO I HTINK THAT IT MESSED UP MY BODY AND THE DOCTOR SAID THAT SOME PEOPLE IT DOES BUT IT DOESNT MEAN YOU CAN'T GET PREGNANT IT JUST MEANS THAT IT MIGHT TAKE LONGER. GOOD LUCK

First you should if you can, get a good fertility doctor. so he can check you out and your boyfriend. Some women thinks its them and it could be the man. I was having the same trouble a few years ago and i went to a fertility doctor and I was able to learn a lot about my system, like for me I had a insulin unbalance and that cause me not to ovulate correctly. And you know if you don't ovulate correctly that can cause trouble with you getting pregnant. But don't give up because I was on this site a few months ago asking question about getting pregnant just to see what people would said and see if anyone could give me any information on there troubles and this women told me to not rush it and that it would happen. Me and my husband tried for 4 years and with the help of GOD my doctor and myself oh yeah can't forget about the husband on May 25, 2006 I found out I was pregnant 6 weeks and 2days pregnant I could not believe it. now I'm 23 weeks and counting, it will happen for you don't think negative, and don't think something is wrong with you, unless a know physician tell you something is wrong have faith and don't stress. I wish you luck and I hope you too get your bundle of joy if you ever need to talk or have any question feel free to e-mail. good luck..............

Go to the dr and ask about PCOS. It is the #1 infertility cause in america. NOT SAYING YOU HAVE IT! But you could as that is the most common symptom of the disease, anovulatory cycles. You can still get pg if you do have it, so don't worry too much. The depo shot will mess up your cycle, but most likely not for as long as 3 years. Go to dr, and most importantly, be calm. Stress can do a number on your system too. Good Luck

I do believe Depo can mess with your body for quite some time. Its not uncommon for it to take up to a year for someone to get pregnant. In fact, most Dr's wont treat you for infertility until you've been trying for over 12 months.
Ive never heard of someone having their eggs counted, I'm not even sure if that's possible. I think a semen analysis is much more common, but like I said, most Dr's wont treat you as having infertility until its been over a year. It may be different for men.

There are a lot of reasons for the inability to conceive. Most doctors will recommend if you are not pregnant after six months of trying to make an appointment and have you and him checked for medical reasons. Stress, weight, your diet (poor nutrition) things like that can also cause conception problems. One other thing that I experinced myself is trying to often. This lowers his sperm count because there is not enough time for a level to rebuild. It is not uncommon for women to have issues conceiving so dont be hard on yourself. Just take a look at your lifestyle adjust any areas that may cause conception issues. If that still doesnt work make a doctor appointment.

There is nothing wrong with you, just stop trying so hard, and relax. When and if it is meant to happen it will.
You can also make a checkup perhaps your boyfriend has a low sperm count or it could be on you end. The doctor will be able to help you and give you some options such as Introvitro etc.
I know some people try for over a year, some try longer. A couple at my church were trying for 3 years before they concived

Don't get too worried, b/c if you do it can possibley be more difficult to concieve. I would keep doing what you are, and try to eliminate any stress. After, 1 year and still no luck I would consult a doctor. You may only need to get on birth control pills for awhile, to help you. Or you may only need something like chlomid pills to help you ovulate, if ur not ovulating. I am only 19 and when I was 18, I had to get on chlomid to help me ovulate, and the first 7 pills I took I concieved. Good luck, don't worry too much.

First of all. DO NOT listen to these idiots that are talking all their crap and being sarcastic and rude... Secondly, Maybe you are just too stressed out about it. Have you done any research? I really don't know what to tell you, I just wanted to tell you not to listen to the idiots :) You should go to the dr and get checked out because I have heard nothing but BAD things about the depo shot. I can't hurt, right? Best of luck to you and your boyfriend!

The both of you should go to the doctor and get a full check up. Explain your concerns to the doctor maybe they can help you . Some people just don't get pregnant right away. Don't worry if you do or your stressed it could cause you to not be able to conceive relax and enjoy.

Go to your doctor and have your hormone levels checked. I think they should take the Depo shot off the market. It does more harm than good. I had to go on a low-dose birth control pill to fix what the depo shot did to my hormones.
