I'm a union painter...We add about 1 tsp of vanilla extract per gallon of paint. Mix well before you apply the material. This does wonders to cover up the smell of paint.
If you've already had the painting done and the room reeks of paint..Try the glade oil plug In's and make sure you open the windows in the room and use a fan in a window to air the place out for a day or two. Febreeze should help too.

from where? try some candles ( but not too close to the fresh paint lol) or some airfreshners! I myself Love the smell of fresh paint! My husband paints for a living so he is always touching up the paint in our own house and I love it! But if im having like a party the next day or something along those lines i will just light a few really good candles like yankee candles they are so strong and you can start smelling it right away!

Had you putt drops of vanilla prior to painting that would alleviate the smell. All I can think of now is to air out your room or place a fan facing out from the room itself. Eventually it will fade. Candles work well. They use high power fans for smoke odors after a fire. That has to be more pungent than paint.

if ur painting a room or any place especially an enclosed room, put some vinegar in a bowl and leave it inside the room overnight.
this would help u alot. have it tried already.
check the next morning if the room still smells like paint,
happy painting!

buy a vanilla pod and boil it in a pot of water. The strong smell of vanilla eliminates all smells.
