I often wonder if it means something or if it is just a preferance.

I bought some school supplies seperatly, when I put them all together they were simaler shades of orange.
A lot of my clothes are orange.
I am 50 and am going to college.
I do love colours but it wasnt till I started college that I have been drawn to the colour.

please let me know your thoughts on this subject.

i am drawn to the colour ORANGE......

Sir, in simpler words, color orange is the most frequently found color in your life.

According to me it is not an issue taken too seriously, as an example, there are some foods which we never like, we dont eat them, however there are some which we can eat anytime and with no reason,

Similarly, one can have likings and dis-likings for colour. there can be some colours which u will never find in ur school supplies
never on ur cloths
and still u will have love for other colours,
You like bright color which tells that u r jolly in nature, u have good sense of humor with timings, u r creative and a "thinker". u give thoughts to a lot of things. (thats why you ve given a thought to the colour "orange")

colours are the one of the best things human has got, and orange, a bright colour is one of the best colours.

so feel relaxed and enjoy the colours of nature and your life. and let there be colours..... :)

Regards

I'm not saying that this applies to you, but its an interesting and related factoid and provides an analogy for why you might find Orange so appealing.

Often times former heroin users will find the color orange to be very appealing. The reason being that the needle cover attached to the needle is colored orange, and so the act of using heroin is associated (mentally) with a particular shade of orange.

Recovering abusers will sometimes see something orange and this will trigger the associations of the color with an activity their brain recalls and a pleasurable (addictively so) one.

The point is not that liking orange means you've used heroin, but the example does show that our brain is wired in such a way that we can associate a particular color with a particular experience that our brain thinks we should repeat.

Are there experiences that you've had that fit this mold? Ways in which you would have positive associations with the color orange. For me, a friend that I lost used to wear vibrant greens and when I see very loud(ish) green colors I find myself happy with a tinge of melancholy.

Another theory is Thatt orange foods are rich in beta-carotene's. Maybe your love of the color orange is a way that you're brain is trying to signify to you tha you should consume more orange foods (Squash, sweet potato, carrots).

My daughter has the same thing with green. She's a red-head and browns and greens look well on her. This is the 2nd year (shopping for new clothes for school) that I've noticed a trend with her. The other girls in the family seemed to be able to wear and buy any color. We go shopping, try on stuff, and come home with these colors. I think it's kind of weird, but acceptable. I had one daughter go through a black phase. You don't want that.

in the upper left corner draw a small green circle, the size of a quarter, and then draw smaller and smaller circles, just like four or five, do the same thing in the bottom right corner. draw a thick orange line down the center (very thick, like an inch) with yellow spikes coming off both sides (just big yellow triangles, don't color them in) and in the background a bunch of this blue circles.

Orange is an 'in' color at the moment in web design, btw.

It's a really great color.

Here are some cool color-related websites, a bit geeky but fun:

Good fall color. You should have your picture taken in a pumpkin field.
