My honda has a 1996 acura integra gsr engine swap in it. And the z28 has custom headers and better pulleys on it. So im trying to figure out if i should trade or not. I like imports but so many people are building them now-a-days and you just cant mess with american muscle. So would i be losing anything if i do trade. The engine on my honda has 400 miles on it and the camaro has 130,000. But i plan on upgrading the whole internals of the camaro's engine. ok let me put it like this dont mention gas because my honda only gets like 15 miles a gallon because i have 12.5:1 compression pistons in it. Nothing but raw motor.

it really depends on how much u want ot spend on upgrades. from what i read u already upgraded the honda. in witch is nice. but parts are going to coast more the the z28 . but the power out put and gaind will be alot better then the honda by far.2 the z28 depending on if u are or going to run noz in it u can run one hell of a bigger shot in the them u could do i n the honda. parts for both are in abundcy for both. so in the long run u could do more wiht the z 28 then the honda. becuse with out a total over haul on the motor and trans and ecu change in the honda u will never go over 145. with the z28 u could do min mods and hit over 145. but in the end the decision is yours . i hope i was some help

LS1 is faster for sure, but I think its a lot more fun beating Chevy's in Honda's, than beating Honda's in Chevy's. Whats the fun of picking on imports in a 5.7 L? Its much more fun to smoke small blocks with something unexpected.

Your Honda doesn't have much to bring to the table, but the Camaro is pretty beat at 130,000, I would imagine its not really that much faster right now. It may feel and sound like it but the times they both run will be similar.

Plenty of things can "mess with american muscle"

You only live once, why deal with the shoulda coulda woulda when you could enjoy based on want and desire. Whichever vehicle most appeals to you in this often short life, why not? Go for what you like and enjoy it.

Hondas are really good mileage wise on an engine, you know. but if you like performance and want to sport it a bit, do the do. It sounds like you really want the camaro, building up autos can be fun and taskful and if you don't mind it and accept the creative challenge, allotting you have the time, why not enjoy your toy and ride in the wings of the wind.

I have owned a Z28, and I have owned a Honda.

Google both cars for value; pick the best deal; however, get rid of the Z28 (insurance, upkeep, etc., way too expensive - look at tire replacement).

If it would have been the 2000 Camero, that's a no-brainer; but double check - they changed what they were doing, and it might be a classic.

Get the camaro.

I had a 1997 camaro and I hit 400,000 miles last year.

It was awesome, and it got about 25mpg up to the day I gave it away.

I suggest replacing the crankshaft with a forged steel one in order to increase balance and reduce its centrifical force. that will reduce vibration, which will lengthen the life of the engine, especially if you're dragging it.

No... I know it's a chevy and a camaro to boot, and damn are they sexy cars. but I have had two chevy cavilear and two chevy blazers. they are beautiful but all four of them were pieces of junk. If i had the money to put into repairs i would have a new chevy but i don't so i drive a civic. by the way i this is my second honda and i never had a problem with either of them.

hondas are good cars and camaros are good cars too. camaro wins in my book any day. especially if you have the money for upkeep and insurance. and since you are saying that you want to change the engine then i would go for it. They really are sexy cars.
