Actually, I had heard somewhere that, while the ACLU had filed a friendly brief in Mr Limbaugh's defense, he and his defense team did not actually accept any tangible assistance from any ACLU attorneys.

It was interesting, though, that the ACLU did speak up in his defense (against the seizure of his medical records, not for the alleged drug use) long before any of his radio colleagues did.

Rush has an huge activities background yet this is irrelevant. Rush isn't utilizing for a activity he's making a purchase order and investment. I very own inventory in Apple, Microsoft and quite a few coverage companies to call some. i'm not a working laptop or pc programmer and that i understand genuinely not something approximately coverage yet I very own a sprint bit the enterprise. A capitalist promises the components and then hires human beings to function the enterprise for them. The Presidency is a activity; taxpayers supply the capital and adventure is a great deal needed.

Limbaugh is great! If you understand him.

Part of the problem for those who hate him is they don't pay close enough attention to what is being said. Rush says right out he is an entertainer. Nothing else. He is entertaining when he is speaking. If you think he is wrong about some issue, or you get all worked up and wish to challenge him on something, remember his role. To entertain.

He is no different than the Hollywood actors and actresses offering their opinions in the political, social and economic arenas. They have no expertise in these areas. Their's is to entertain too. They just don't spend as much time at it as Limbaugh does.

Another thing that upsets people about Limbaugh is that he has an uncanny knack for applying common sense and logical reasoning to issues that often times tend to be inflamatory. When he expresses his opinion and it is diametrically opposed to the thoughts of others, they find it difficult to debate his position with the same sound logic and reasoning. And that's upsetting to people. So they attack him. Much like many responses have done here. I think Rush refers to it as the arena of ideas.

Lastly, Rush uses phrases and techniques in his show that are intended to seduce his audience into listening. eg. 'half my brain tied behind my back, just to make it fair'. It's a challenge. He is challenge his audience to listen and see if he isn't analyzing issues with sound logic and reasoning. Challenging callers to pick apart his opinon. It is part of the showmanship.

The audience that listens to Limbaughs show daily is sufficient enough size that if he truly were any of the negative things his critics allege he is, his audience would not be what it is today. Common sense. Logic that is hard to find holes in. Hard to listen to if you are a Limbaugh hater.

Yes. Wasn't the ACLU one of his favourite targets for years? It would be like the Clintons helping him, after everything he's said about them.

I've challenged Rush to debate several times. He accepted once but the rules list was all in his favor. It would be recorded, he could air it or not at his discretion, he owned the tape and I wouldn't get an original copy, he could sell it but I couldn't, he could EDIT it and I couldn't, blah blah blah. I wanted it to be more fair but was refused. You be the judge. I think he's chicken.

I didn't know that he did. What an idiot the guy is. Absolutely he's a hypocrite for accepting help from the very people he is constantly putting down.

I'm surprised that even they could muster the kindness to help a sorry slug like him.

what Rush is , is a paid political infomercial. so if he accepts help that does not go with his job discription it just shows what he really believes. You did not think anybody in their right mind actually believed that pile of excrement he was pushing do you.
