If you are talking about the outside, you need to think of re-sale value. check what neighbours have done. try and choose a colour that will compliament colours your neighbours have chosen, and it's best to go for the more pastel natural shades.
Paint a sample area on the side of the house first, see how it reacts with the light during different times of the day, and what you think of it after a couple of weeks....can you live with it?
then go ahead and paint the whole house....remember this is a job that will need to be done approx every 10 years depending on climate and weather conditions.

You can try these combinations free of any cost -
Pink in your bed room
Green in Study room
combination of medium yellow or light choclate, and Dark Yellow on opposite walls of your drawing room and borders
White in kitchen and toilets
Or u can approach an interior decorator who will do it for you, of course at some cost.

do not go for blues n greys ,as it gives a dull n gloomy appearance. green is so out of fashion. u can try lavander in ur drawing room, beige too looks cheerful.a red wall when given a classy touch looks elegant n inviting too . dark orange too r quite in. as far as pink is conserned -its never out.

for drawing room,go for white.Thats the best colour.Choose light green or lighter shades of blue for rooms.Avoid dark colors as they tend to lessen the size of rooms.
