What an incoherent question, or at least the details of it.
Why do girls who play soccer have to be tomboys or just trying to get close to guys. A very girly girl in a happy relationship could certainly play the sport.

I think the main reason for women to play soccer is because they simply like playing it. Sports is a fun way to pass the time, so if one likes it- why not?

A friend was on the girl's soccer team in high school. She wasn't a tomboy and she couldn't be trying to get closer to guys since she was on the girl's team. I don't understand the rest of your question....

your question is nonsensical. Did you even consider that a woman could be an athlete, without falling into any of your narrow-minded stereotypical cubbyholes? She must be a tomboy, a boy-chaser, a lesbian, a social climber.(sic) For many athletes, sports play and competition are their own reward.

I hate women who play soccer. Find a sport of your own instead of hijacking a mans sport. Half the girls in soccer would turn into tears if they played it right with the tackles, ball to the chest, headbutt, and everything else.

i think girl who play sports (especially the ones they are not expected to play, or be as good at as guys) are awesome!
I played water polo for 7 years, and it is the most brutal, vicious, ***-kicking, powerful sport out there.
I think the girls who do it are determined to prove they can do what they want. =)
