Well lets say that you have a bf/gf and he/she is always making you happy. At school everyone says" I cant believe that you guys are still going out because he/she never even liked you in the first place" You and you bf/gf have a talk about this. Your bf/gf says that it is a lie dont belive them. What should you do believe ur bf/gf or the others around?

You see timmy, people will talk badly about your loved ones simply because they are jealous. The doctor says, if they talk bad about your girl be a man and defend her honor.
If your a girl, then you should tell your man and expect him to defend your honor (Or his).
Take it from the doctor timmy, someone is just wanting to get to know your better half in the biblical sense.

Well, I'd say talk to the boyfriend. (you're the girlfriend, right?)....It will create distrust if you ask a million people about him behind his back and not him and then he finds out and the rumors were all wrong to begin with...If he ends up being a bad boyfriend and all the rumors WERE true, then so what? Move on....At least you know you did all YOU could to maintain the relationship...But on the other hand, are A LOT of people saying he never liked you in the first place? If that's the case, you gotta wonder why that rumor is going around and it may have some truth to it. hope i helped! :)

You know it might be true and he doesn't realize he gave that impression. My daughter reminded me at dinner last night that a year ago she had me paired up with my current girlfriend and I didn't see it at the time. I insisted we were just friends and "hugging her is like hugging my grandma" and it was because she was still checking me out and keeping her distance and staying cool. Things have changed obviously, but a year ago I gave the impression I wasn't interested when I was, because I was getting the sense she wasn't and so was in denial. Until last night I had forgotten my daughter even bringing it up last year, let alone my response, and if that comment got back to my girlfriend today I'd have some explaining to do.
Point is, things change, and people we don't see ourselves with, either because we don't see it or think they aren't inerested, can end up with us anyway down the road. I think it's a good reason to be non-committal when someone asks what you think about someone else, or later on you may find yourself explaining remarks you'd forgotten you made. But unless you get word he's saying he doesn't like you today, put the past in the past. We don't always know when we meet "the one" that they are going to be "the one" until they are "the one", and we shouldn't have to be on the hook for things we said before we realized we were talking about our future Mr. or Ms. Right.

it depends on whether or not you think your bf/gf would lie to you and you really shouldn't let other people run your relationship only you and the person your with can know and understand whats going on in your relationship so that person is who you have to trust and work things out with and by the way if don't know if that person would lie to you then you shouldn't be with that person, unless you haven't been dating that long

It comes down to who do you trust? If you trust your b/f then stay. If you trust a bunch of people who you know, but may know something, you need to get specifics from them. You should not trust unsubstantiated rumors. You should not trust gossip from people you barely know.
