More convicts?

Seriously, any Central American cichlid of similar size has a better than even chance of surviving, depending on the size of the tank.

Oscars are a Bad Idea. Unless you like oscars. Because the oscars will eventually eat the convicts.

Some people might say this is Good Thing, though.

(Somebody once told me that if you keep a mated pair of convicts in separate tanks at opposite ends of the room and the humidity is high enough they will still spawn.)

The convict would be advantageous with any of those. I extremely have a 50 gallon tank with an person crimson zebra, a particularly youthful convict, and a youthful electric powered yellow cichlid. The convict can freely swim around the tank and is not any longer bothered with the aid of the different 2 in any respect. for my area, i think of he scares the person in spite of the fact that that's smaller.

You might get away with a coryadora, but probably not. Cichlids, and in particular, Convicts are very aggressive fish and will most likely devour anything you put in. Try some cool snails and maybe some java moss.

"On the whole these fish are very aggressive both with other fish and with each other. They are poor subjects for the community tank but if you have a compatible pair they would make an outstanding display on their own."

-I have never had much luck with Cichlids, they are just too mean for me. But I hope all goes well for you.
