They've been going out for like 2 years...and they went of to separate colleges and all of a sudden she just broke up....she didn't really have a good reason except she didn't like him anymore and she didn't want to try that hard for something like a relationship. Does anyone have any advice.

Tell your friend it is soooooo much better to be left now than when he is wearing a wedding ring and has a couple of kids. He may not realize how lucky he is, or maybe because of the distance she no longer wants a serious relationship. Don't beat himself up. Maybe she realized they didn't have a lot in common when it comes to a true RELATIONSHIP. My advice tell him not to look for anyone right now and when he does make sure they have lots of things in common, because the lust thing goes away pretty quick and the Love thing is what lasts. Your a good friend to be so concerned.

Tell him to get over it and move on. Not really liking someone is a good reason not a bad reason. So I would say that you want to be carefeul. You as his friend just need to be there for him right now and in time he will get over it. If she does not want to try for a relationship it is not worth his effoer to even try to get her back. So moving on, and getting over it is best.

Well it was a good enough reason for her...If you dont like someone why stay with them???? And your friend no matter what you say about being obvious needs to move on....

Just be a friend. Try to keep his mind off the girl and keep him company. This too shall pass.

You can't fix this for him, but you can be there for him. Make a point of hanging out with him, etc. because he may need company for awhile.
