when i am out at the clubs,bars,lounges,etc guys look at me and tell there freinds shuff in there ear but they never come up to me and say hi. i always have to make the first move, why is this?

believing in the best of people, and worst of the 'society' at large, i have to agree w/ tom K's idea... you are a Mercedes that us pinto to Cadillac's are afraid to park next to you... plus your honesty is refreshing as you don't even think you are a stud... I'm fit as well and a sorority sister said to me... its hard 'cause those of us are better than ave, and no arrogance meant, most people think were snobs cause because of a shallow thing like our bods and looks!
hang in there, if things get worse, or don't approve, we an start a support group...
how about average semi fit gents/gals of America...!

As most people have already said, it's intimidation. If that's really your photo, I'd kinda drool in the corner and then spend the rest of the night looking over and trying to build up the confidence to walk up to you and even utter a slurred word... nah, actually, it's all about the confidence of the guy having a perve.
Ok, I wonder if the guy actually walked up to you to say hi, would it be rejection that he receives or would it be a good conversation. Personally, i'm afraid of rejection and that's why I don't make the first move, even though my friends tell me that i'm an idiot cos i'm hot. hehe...

You have to learn to flirt with your eyes - - - zero in on that certain someone - - - then throw your gaze to a 'neutral' part of the bar, anyplace away from their friends, etc - - - that might work but to be honest some people will always have to be the agressor - - - even some 'bottoms' that I have known have to make the first move. But try the walking eye bit - - - glance, guide with the eye, get that certain guy away from the pack - - - then toss him that nod that says 'come over here & talk to me."

Hey, bebe, if that pic is you... they probably figure you play in another league, are an airhead with a hot body, or maybe remind them of a jock that beat the crap out of them. What can I say, I'm a lesbian :) so better to actually ask the guys at the club after you make your move!

based on the little pic assoc w/ your profile, and speaking only for myself, most ave fit guys, could feel inadequate to make the first move. being fit, but w/o washboard abs and shaved and or waxed chests, my friends and others would fear rejection and humiliation being inadequate for even friendship
this is shallow but a true comment on our world today....

well, I think they do a tease game... they want you to see they talkin to their friends while lookin at you... therefore, they won't make the first move, they wait for ya to do so... however, it's like just for a fling most of the time (not always tho)
