Background Info:

I have Samsung a900 cell phone and I wanted to put music on it so i bought a 1 gigabite micro SD card(http://www.transcendusa.com/Products/ModDetail.asp?LangNo=0&ModNo=96) and flash card reader/writer(http://www.kinamax.com/product/index.htm).

Anyways I put it together and popped it in the computer. I am able to read the pictures that took with my phone, but when I open the "removable drive" at My Computer and try to add MP3s or any file for that matter I get the response, "Error Copying File or Folder: Cannot copy U2 - Beautiful Day: The disk is write-protected. Remove the write-protection or use another disk."

Anyways as a result I cannot transfer anything new onto the micro sd card. As well on the micro sd card I made sure it is not set to lock.

Has nothing to do with the reader. Check your card, most have a very small slide switch on the left edge that will protect the card. You may have "snapped" it on accident when you were putting the card in the reader.

Sounds like an incompatible format. Reformat the SD card.

have you turned off the writeprotection on your sd-card? alternatively you can lay a piece of paper on the wp-switch
