First I have to say "lcmcpa" is going to make you look really stupid. Dancing and talking to the media does not bring scouts.
Scouts come for recruitment potential....but most importantly - they bring the opportunity for scholarship. Being scouted by a school that doesn't have a scholarship to offer is pretty lame.
There are a couple of ways to go about this.
The easiest is, you're such a great player - your coach sends game film of you to the colleges for them to look at.
The second is, you send your season's "Glory Tape"
(meaning game films - all you doing great things)
Another is...you write to the school and let them know you'd be interested in a scholarship. If it's early enough, they'll note your name - watch the papers - contact your coach and let him know when they'll be out.
Size, speed, skill, and ability all matter.
A big fish in a tiny pond does not.
That means, if you are in a small school and a mediocre division and you're doing GREAT...it won't matter half as much as if you are big and fast...
I recruited 8 players in 2 years
(thats alot for the school I coached for)
ALL of them - were kids that sent game tape and we thought they were good enough to go look at.
I coach above collegiate now...we recruit with incentives, endorsements, and sponsorship...so it's different...
but one thing that isn't - we always go look at the people that write us (game film or not).
So contact the school and send game tape of YOU.
good luck

You'll never get recruited as a D-lineman. Even if you have a large frame and are really skinny, you'll only be able to put on 20-40 pounds before you'd start to lose quickness. It's POSSIBLE you could get a look at DE, but more likely LB.
All coaches know other coaches, who eventually know someone in the college ranks. If you're good enough, you'll get a look.
But don't be afraid to market yourself. Put together highlight tapes/DVDs of your game performances and mail them to whatever schools you want. The more you send out, the higher the chance that someone, somewhere, might want to give you a scholarship to play college FB for them, so don't be shy sending them out.
Good luck.

It may seem strange getting an answer from a female, but I'm hooked on football. Scouts go around to likely high schools looking for talent during games, for the most part, but some of the name schools get scouts at their practices also, so they can get a more in-depth look at the players' workout ethics. They look as much for dedication & understanding of the game as they do for size. Of course, there is no substitute for talent. Without that, you can kiss your scholarship hopes bye-bye. The thing is, to get them to notice you. Talk to your coach. He knows how many scouts watch his players on any given time. If he thinks you got what it takes, he can put in a call either to a local college, or to his own alma mater, & give the headhunters the 'heads up'.If that doesn't get you the attention, call your local sportacaster or sportswriter. They sometimes give scouts tips. Hope this helps. If it does, I want an autographed college jersey! LOL

The first and best thing to do when trying to get recruited is to make a video and send it to the coach of schools you are looking into going. With that size, you will want to look for a Division II or Division III school, you will not make a squad in Division I due to your size. In college football, size does matter. Anyways hope this helps and good luck.

They send a scout to the games when they have a player who has made the local news.
Danny Wuerffel won the Heisman at Florida and they had not recruited him. His father contacted Steve Spurrier and got him to watch a tape.
Bottom line, do whatever is necessary to call attention to yourself. That is why you have so many "dances" etc. on the sidelines. Good luck.
PS. Talking to the media and give them quotable things like how great your team-mates are helps. Saying something stupid to them harms you.

Hi there;
If you are interested in playing collegiate sports one way to get a potential recruiter to look at you is to make a web page and have videos of you doing your finest posted on it. Also post your other interests and achievements on your web page. Snazz up your web page using a flash template where all you have to do is insert "you" and make it smart looking. Form follows function! If you are not web page savvy you can enlist the help of others. Email or send that web site out to college recruiters, athletic directors, admissions deans, and/or scouts.
Show off your skills, availability, goals and grades. In short make your web page your brag book and resume.
Colleges that want you will be sure to send someone to look at you and you can decide what course of direction to move in then.
Play smart and be smart. Promote yourself using today's technologies!
Always remember the world is your oyster and you are its pearl. :)
Good luck

Ask your coach for pointers. Maybe you can play a different position in college. If you are good the scouts will find you. Good luck.

you can make video tapes of you and you in highschool games and send it to universities you want to go to and they can see how u play in games. thats how alot of the best college players get drafted in big schools. have your coach help you.if you want to get drafted you have to stand out. you can do the same thing in community college. if u went to nike.com before they had tapes of mike vick and champ bailey in highschool. they stood out.
