football...it's the greatest team game...there is no other sport where you have so much at stake at each position...the fast pace...the pageantry...the passion of the game...college is best followed by the NFL

Football (soccer) is the greates sport in the world. This sport cannot be played individualy which turns off most viewers. The speed, grace, skill, and passion that it is played with is second to none. It envokes, city and national pride everywhere. It puts otherwise small nations on the map. This is the biggest sport in the world, and has even brought civil wars to a hault(See African Civil Wars before 2006 World Cup). If there is a sport more powerful than that in the world today, please enlighten me.

ps. Just because it is not popular in the US means that it is not relevant.

There is no great sport... because the all of aggressivness and competion. They are all equal. BUt if i had to answer the question i would choose soccer because it is a tenise game and running constuling and you never know who will get the ball. at any time someone can make a goal.

Cricket. It requires great teammanship, alot of brain power and much personal stamina and concentration. Also inidividually, you must prove yourself all the time as a team player and in your own area of expertise eg bowling, batting, fielding, wicket keeping etc.

AFL (Aussie Rules Football).
There is nothing like watching the team battle to make it to that 1 day in september, its fast and action filled.
