What I mean is Atlantis was built in the 70's. Unidentified parts were flying off of it today(as many as 10?) Nasa just postponed re-entry. Toxic gas was accidentally released into it the other day, and it is the first launch since the Columbia, which exploded when it was re-entering the atmoshere. Im nervous, are you?

Space flight is a dangerous business. It always has been and probably always will be. These people knew the deal when they signed up. Every one of them is a hero in my book. Let's let them live their dream. I'm not worried.

Yes. The shuttle is a very old system and is due to be retired in 2010 or around there, and the replacement system is still on the drawing board. There is going to be a gap of YEARS where there will be no human spaceflight. Bush diddled around and he never bothered to consider authorizing the replacement system until after the Columbia burned up on reentry in 2003. Even then it took a year to decide. Chalk another one up to the Decider.

Absolutely! After what happened to the Columbia, they are very brave people to be doing what they are doing. I will be watching the TV tomorrow morning, both with dread and anticipation for their safe re-entry.

Be safe, brave astronauts.......

Great answer Gene! There is always concern for these half-crazy people strapping themselves to a controlled burning bomb. I believe NASA if they say everything is OK. they stand to lose a lot if they are wrong.

He suggested he grew to become into thinking he grew to become into sitting on suitable of a super rocket geared up via the backside bidder.
