my husband still has viable sperm and we'd like to use that through sperm harvesting

He's not scared of the procedure, he wants another baby. What is the name of the procedure so I can research it? Thanks

My husband's vasectomy was too thorough, so it is non-reversable

You may be able to get the vasectomy reversed.
If this can't happen the doctor can get sperm by using a large needle and extracting the sperm
Don't worry your husband wouldn't feel it. You need to speak with your doctor

First you need a sperm donor. After that it varies. Semen has a pretty short shelf life. If you can get fresh, that is the best route to go. Lesbian friends of mine tell me that if they want a child they find a donor and use a turkey baster to artificially inseminate. It is pretty similiar to the process used by vets with cattle and other stock. As far as securing a sample for insemination, you need to find a willing person and get them to ejaculate into a container so that the sample can be introduced into the vaginal area for insemination to occur. I will leave it up to you as to how you will get them to ejaculate into the container and how you would artificially inseminate yourself following the process.

Vasectomies can be reversed you know. Ask your husband's doctor about it.
