to spend time with family and friends. Family should come first before work. Everyone would have the same day off Expect for certain jobs like police, medical, and fire. We can't get away with that. This is not a religious question, Remember I said any day, could be sunday, monday, tuesday etc. I just think it would be good if people could take a break and one day a week everything would close down. People would argue with me saying that it would hurt the economy, but does it really, and if it does which is more important family or work?? You only live one life.

Yes I totally agree with that..We all do need to slow down..We have started a thing where dinner time will last around an hour to an hour and a half once or twice a week, so we can talk about things ..yes we do all have busy lives but we should make room for our family..Appreciate what you got..It does not last forever..

Yes americans need to slow down but there is no way that we could get a majority to shut down the nation for one day a week though families could organize more and get a uniform day off to socialize with family members.
this issue has a religious back ground thou. one of the ten commandments is keep "holy the sabbath."
this is a day for rest, community and family, not really a religious Idea as you have presented it.
