There is a program which STILL I have which run in DOS called LAPLINK version 3, but it's hard to find now. Maybe you can find, just search using Kazaa Lite Resurrection or any other P2Ps.

Another great software is called FASTLYNX, where it can run also in DOS (see link).

OR if you have was just DOS os, just follow the link below.

You need a cable called LAPLINK PARALLEL (see link below picture of parallel or serial laplink cables) CABLE to run these programs.

U are going to need a program like Laplink or Brooklyn Bridge to copy the files, but these require proprietary cables.... I am assuming you don't have a CD-ROM on your laptop.

U can look for a Parallel port CD-ROM or Hard Disk to transfer the cab files. Or try and get a cheap PCMCIA network card... you can run ghost...it will create a DOS bootable disk with NDIS network drivers. Another opton is to remove the Hard Disk from the laptop and connect it to a desktop and copy the files.

Hi,
Download software: Total Commander from http://www.ghisler.com/, it is free

Connect your laptop and pc with a cable for serial port.
Install Total Commander on both workstations, and go to a menu: Net -> PORT Connection to other PC: and follow on-screen instructions.
