My guess is they take the "dumb blonde" thing literally....somehow they think acting silly (which may work at getting a laugh out of their friends) is something a guy would find attractive...well...like attracts like I think! LOL

I think some girls believe that guys are intimidated by girls who are smarter than they are...- And unfortunately, in TOO many cases, that's probably true. Sure the extra attention is nice (check out the way that ((dumb)) blonds have more "fun"!). But I think the idea for those girls IS- that if they can "catch" the guy they want FIRST, then they can "train" him into becoming what they think they want. And the ones that believe THAT, aren't NEARLY as smart as they think they are... :)

if you r pretending not to understand some homework assignment for example, u will get attention from guys or teachers wanting to explain it to u.
Some people are insecure and they feel wanted or loved if they get attention so they seek it by pretending not to be smart.

i guess they figure that men are scared off by intellectual types. besides, look at Jessica Simpson. There's no WAY anyone could be that stupid, but it worked for her, so lots of girls are giving the "dumb girl" thing a shot.

both....I have seen it in action.....I have seen a very smart woman do something all by her self with no help from anyone....a good looking man comes around and all of a sudden she is a helpless woman that needs his help....and he does help because he feels needed and wanted.
