I only gained 19 lbs. while I was pregnant and my daughter weighed 6lb. 11oz. Don't worry. Your baby should be at average weight.

To start off I only gained 17 pounds. I went 5 days past due. My baby was 7 pounds 5 ounces 20 1/2 inches. I didn't start to show until I was 7 months. I gained most of my weight the last 2 weeks. It was the only time I didn't have really bad morning sickness, but it was still there. I was all stomach. I got an ultrasound at 30 weeks and my baby was 4 pounds 8 ounces. They thought my baby was going to be fairly small and she turned out a good size. I was stressed a lot during my pregnancy and my baby turned out fine. I'm sure if your doc had major concerns he would let you know. No worries! Good luck. With gaining so little weight it shouldn't be hard for you to lose it. I had my girl on the 5th and I need smaller clothes. I weigh less then I did to start off with. Breastfeeding helps!

I was very small the whole time, up until the last 5 weeks, when I gained about 10 lbs. In fact, I was at a restaraunt once, and we were talking to the waitress (that my grandma and great aunt knew) about her new baby, and my grandma mentioned that I was expecting, and she didn't believe us when we told her the due date. She couldn't even tell I was pregnant, let alone due in 8 weeks.
My midwife assured me that everything was fine, and she said that she would expect the baby to be in the 6 1/2 lbs range. I went almost 2 weeks overdue (and by the last day of pregnancy, I made it to the 25 lbs. gained mark that my dr recommended), and he was born weighing a perfectly normal 7 lbs, 13 oz.
My mom was also very small when she was pregnant with me. Was your mom or grandma small? Genetics do play a big part in how you will carry the baby.
Most importantly, though, try not to stress about it. If your doctor isn't worried at all, then there's no cause for alarm. Stressing too much will give you headaches, and could make your morning sickness reappear (that it, if it left at all!).
Good luck, and congratulations on your baby!

With my first pregnancy I gained a total of 21 lbs my daughter weighed 8 lbs.... My stomach was HUGE but considering I carried all up front, I am 5' 2 " tall and weighed 110 lbs when I got pregnant I expected the HUGE stomach...
If your Dr says everything is OK listen to him/her... Baby's gain the majority of their weight in the last 4-6 weeks of your pregnancy usually 1/2 lb a week... With an ultra sound at 28 weeks showing a fetus at about 2.14 lbs you are right on schedule to have a child who weights 6-7 lbs (maybe a bit more) at birth which is a good healthy weight range...

If the Dr did not seem concerned about the baby weighing that much at 28 weeks, I probably wouldnt be concered either. I think if the baby's weigh was a problem you would have been sent for more ultrasounds to monitor the baby's weight.

I gained 23 lbs, and he was 8 lbs, 21 in. From behind you couldnt tell i was prego, but my side profile, HUGE!! I couldnt even touch my finfertips together at the bellybutton, not even close. ( Im also 5' 2")
My baby was barely a 1 lb at my 20 sonogram..
Dont worry about it. As long as you are eating healthy and taking care of yourself, it will be fine. Also, as long as the baby is healthy when they are born they could be 6 lbs or 10 lbs.

that is normal size for your gestation... and if the doc said everything looks good why are you stressing? it doesnt really matter how much you gain (in determining the weight of the baby) i've gained WAY more than your "supposed" to and my doctor says he's about 8 lbs (im due in 3 days) so dont worry unless there's something to worry about!

You'll be fine. As long as your doctor says everything is OK, then don't worry. My son was 7lbs 7oz. My sister in law gained MUCH less than recommended and her son weighed over 8 lbs.

I gained most of my weight in the last 2 months of my pregnancies. Are you eating well, drinking plenty of water, and getting as much rest as possible?
