Lets see.
Blind fold a kid.
Give him a big stick.
Turn him around a few times to get him dizzy.
Tell him to start swinging, (near lots of little innocent bystanders).
No it's not the pinatas that are dangerous.
It is the people who encourage their kids to play the pinata game that are crazy!
(No offense meant there).
But they are fun - till someone gets knocked unconscious by a dizzy blindfolded kid swinging a bat......

Even with the pull string, they can be dangerous because kids run into each other and fight to get the candy. I've seen it happen. However, with a few precautions the pinata can be safe and fun.Tell the kids to make sure to stand back from whoever's turn it is. And tell them that the candy must all be put in a pile then split up to be fair. Warn them in a serious tone that anyone who tries to run and grab the candy, won't get any. They listen. Children really do have an innate sense of justice so they like splitting the candy up.

Pinatas aren't dangerous, it's the blindfolded kids swinging a bat who are dangerous.The pull strings are good for childrens parties.

Maybe the wild pinatas - but the tame ones make nice additions to any family.

IT DEPENDS ON WHAT YOU PUT IN THEM, HOPEFULLY NOTHING HEAVY. PINATAS ARE FUN AND THE CHILDREN LIKE THEM.
