One hint...he got an Emmy for Outstanding Performance in a Supporting Role in a Drama,1968. (He was MUCH older than this photo when he won the Emmy.)

Oh sweetie, that is easy. It is John Wayne. I used to be a big fan of his until, when I was much younger, I found out that he had aligned himself with Senator Joe McCarthy in the 1950's communist witch hunts.
