Because people aren't as loyal, loving, caring and wonderful as pets. Pets know the true meaning of love, whereas people expect something in return for love.

Pets are smarter than people, just remember that!! I was brought up to be accepting of everyone. All races and religions and sexual preferences. I am a Christian, straight and married woman of nearly fifty years of age. I have always thought that other peoples personal sexual preferences were none of my business. Life is too short for us to be fighting over the same old crap, you think we would all learn to get along and be respectful of each other as members of the human race. For all of our accomplishments, some things we are just too stupid or stubborn about. I have had the most wonderful time in my life, making friends with all kinds of people and learning about their beliefs and backgrounds. You know the sayings about the more people I know....the more I love my dog, or cat.... Some people act like idiots toward others who are unlike them because they are uneducated, and are too stubborn to believe that any way but their way could be "right." Have a good night.

because pets are real, and people are superficial. what really matters is the character of a person, and animals realize this. if they dont like someone, its usually because they are mean. besides, many people are accepting, but they aren't as noticed, because they aren't loud, rude, or in charge of the media.
one more reason i like animals better than people (very long list)

Pets respond to love and positive attention of those who care for them. Regardless of sex, race, sexuality, religion ect., pet(s) respect and their caretaker(s) - hopefully not in fear as there are terribly immoral and sick people out there).
They love who loves them - unconditionally; a simple concept many humans cannot conceive.

Because humans find bliss in ignorance. And it's not because we think. It's because humans have free will. According to the majority, if it's not "normal", then it 's not right. But humans forget that there is no such thing as "normal".

Because pets won't care whether you have money or not, whether you have a school degree or not. Pets only care for you because you treat them nicely.

i think its because a lot of people have to put a certain tag on people,as for as race ,color and so on. pets just see us for who we are,and love us just the same.
