A lot of famous musicians were not considered "great" until after their deaths. Do you think that the next generation will look back at today's music and refer to 50 cent, Game, Nelly and the rest of the fake, so-called rappers as "greats"?

Today's US music is the worse that has been in years. There are no good lyrics to inspire future generations. The talent is poor and fake. It is sad that there are no new sounds or new innovations that would be worth remembering. However the Latin sounds are taking over in a big way, everything from Rock en Espanol to Chill Flamenco is exciting and worth discovering if you haven't yet. The lyrics are still poetic and the variety of fusions are amazing.

Never!! Music has stalled big time. The music of the 50's 60's & 70's are timeless.
The question is in 30 40 or even 50 years will people even remember those rappers like they remeber the artists of the 50 60 & 70.
I don't think so.

Oh, don't even get me started on this one. Well, to be blunt, I hate rap with a passion. Even aside from rap, I do not like any music today. I listen to strictly the 60's, 70's, 80's, and maybe a tiny, tiny bit of the 90's. It is plain to see that "music" today will never be remembered in the future. Who is going to be remembered? I believe that bands from the 60's and 70's will. Nobody can ever forget true talent and the feelings that arise when one hears any song from any band of the 60's and 70's. Music has died; it is such a crying shame. Where are the talented youth hiding?!

The good music has gone indie and many acts have less than a thousand fans. Just look at Nirvana. Great? Well Cobain's death made some good jokes, but that's about it. With less people watching the standard mediums and more choices, I don't think there will be any new great artists. The popular ones are all pump and dump(heavy on the dump).

Our music today is very, very strange. We don't know what we're talking about or what we're doing and it's a shame.
