For such a low budget team these guys are about as scrappy as you can get. I wouldn't be surprised they edge out the Tigers and go far. I beleive they are better than any World Series team Minnesota ever had.

I agree with you totally! I have been a huge Twins fan for many years now and as good as they have been in the past, I have never been more excited about their chances than I am this year. I truely believe that they have a chance to make alot of noise and cause many headaches for any team they will face.. GO TWINS!!!!!

Definitely the surprise team of MLB in 2006, but doubt it will be enough for a *miracle" with all those injuries to the pitching staff. If they make the playoffs they'll most likely face their bad omen, the Yanks, in the first round and that just might do them in as so many times before, unfortunately.
PS: as both a European and "lucky loser" I can't help but being a CUBS fan -- love afternoon baseball when I lived in the States.

All i have to say is Justin Mourneau for Mvp, derek jeter is good, but his team is a bunch of all stars, which helps him look good, Justin Mourneau has better #;s, home runs,rbi's. If the twins don't make it far justin should still be mvp, look at where they were way back then, it looked like detroit had it wrapped and the twins have made a combact

Believe it or not, I do like The Twins.
I like the way they play the game.
And thier fans & management are respectable.
A class act to be sure.
However, you and I differ on who goes how far .
I'd like to see a re-match of the '87 ALCS. This time The Tigers win. I hope.
