If it has a head use a warm cloth so the head will break without picking. I usually use alcohol after to dry it. On blackheads I use a paste of baking soda and water and rub on blackheads and they disappear so they do not turn to whiteheads. Although not recommended by dermatologists, I always used rubbing alcohol before bed time (not around eyes) and really helped oily skin. I am an older person and it has not harmed my skin or prematurely aged it. Best of Luck

A dermatologist may depending on the type of zit, deflate one, however you need to do it right or risk infection. Popping zits can also cause scarring. In a worst case scenario popping a zit can cause an outbreak.
Keep your oil intake regulated and keep you skin clean, drink lots of fluids and exercise. It may take a few days to go down, however it is a toss up on the popping issue.
There are a number of facial creams etc.. that can be used. Toothpaste has also been recommeneded to me. Effectively you are attempting to "dry out" the zit. Alcohol/Peroxide ect is often contained in anti acne products.

Apply tea tree oil diluted with some water. DO NOT pop it untill it's ready - see below!
To prevent pimples, I recommend giong to your healthfood store & getting silica tablets, silicia is a natural thing that makes up hair & nails & skin... But I started taking that & my skin went so clear in a matter of days!
Also when washing your face, use a gentle face cloth to remove dirt & makeup, I use jurlique products, they keep my skin nice & clear. Don't strip your skin with a foaming face wash, because then your skin will just make more oil to compensate... Drink heaps of water. When popping pimples, make sure you've steamed your face for atleast 5 minutes. If it doesnt have a head (blind pimple) leave it, it's not ready & forcing it will just agrovate. If it has a white head, use a sterile pin to break the skin on the side, wrap tissue round your fingers to protect your skin, & squeeze gently, if nothing comes out straight away dont force it, leave it it's not ready. blackheads you don't need to break the skin, but follow other instructions.
Good luck, I'm sure they'll clear up soon! Also try to avoid wearing makeup when you dont have to, wash all your sponges & brushes too, as well as telephones, they can carry bacteria speading... and pillow cases too! I hope it goes away quick sticks

First you need to decide just how fast you want to get rid of them. The absolute quickest way is to pop them with a heated, sterilized needle. Do not squeeze to hard (you don't want to bruise). Next, cover them with a warm to hot wash rag for about 2 minutes. Now, put a drying mask on them. After you have done this, you need to repeat the wash rag. Finally put neosporin on the blemish. All traces shoul be gone in a day or two.

If it has formed a whitehead, I suggest popping it to drain out the sebum and oil and then applying some toothpaste to it before you go to bed. If you do use this remedy, you have to make sure that it's a paste and not a gel. This will help dry it up and in the morning you should wash your face and then apply a good moisturizer. I know they tell you not to pop them because you'll develop scars, but I've been doing this for years and have yet to see any scars.
Best of luck!

Steam your face first to bring the zits to a head. pop them. squeeze from the base and push up at the same time. doing it like this keeps the bacteria from going back in the skin and causing new zits. get a fresh WHITE towel (not one you just bathe with. using your bath towel to wash your face also causes breakouts and using towels with dyes) and wash your face in an anti bacterial soap. use toner and then put spot treatment on the zits. that stuff will be gone tomorrow. i promise!

I use fresh lemon juice at night before I go to bed. Use it like a toner, then follow with 5% benzoyl peroxide cream. The acidity in the lemon juice works like salysilic acid, only stronger, and as far as the benzoyl peroxide, 5% is to me the correct dosage for most skin types because this chemical is more harsh than salysilic acid, and it sometimes just irritates the skin and makes it worse if you use 10%. 5% will not irritate the skin, but is very effective.

Don't pop them as that will lead to scarring. IF you want to pop them, do it by placing a finger on each side and pulling, not pinching. When you pinch it breaks blood vessels in your face and creates excess swelling and redness. If you can wait, neosporin will work. Put it on the zits without popping them. It will kill the bacteria causing the zits without causing redness and swelling.

Pop them if they're ready, then dab some peroxide on them with a cotton swab, it'll get crusty just let it go for the night and in the morning it should at least look better than a white head, and then you can put makeup on it to hide it.....
