Canada is underrated. It is a wealthy country that generally has a good reputation and relationship with just about everyone else in the entire world. I think it could be part of a solution with Iran, if it wanted to be.

More than you think. Canada is an energy supperpower (exports more oil to the US than Saudi Arabia). What the canadians can do is talk to the chinese about their growing need for oil and other energy and try to ween them away from a total alience with iran because of its oil. With the help of canadian energy and trade with canada and the west in other areas, partnerd with their co-operation in dealing with the north korean issue, China can become the international giant it fancies itself as. Thus leaving Iran with one less oil thirsty ally in its grips.
