The baby will come when it's ready. Relax.
When the baby is ready -- when it is fully developed -- it will send out chemical signals which will induce labor.
Why interfere with this natural process?
Inducing labor is not a good thing.

Baby's come when they are ready... If your sister is feeling that uncomfortable she should discuss chemically induced labor with her Dr. Just know chemically induced labor is like dynomite the contractions go from non exhistant to claw the cieling intensity in minutes...
Your sister best option is to continue walking, and having sex (but only if she has not lost her mucus plug or her water has ruptured)...

Hey, one of my best friends was due yesterday and still hasn't popped hers out yet, her nurse called her today though and she asked her nurse some things she could do besides walking and lots of sex to help induce labor, well this may sound funny but her nurse told her to close her curtains and play with her nipples. I guess it produces something that has to do with your uteris or something. Well anyway just a suggestion

Gonna sound wierd but nipple stimulation works... It releases oxytocin into your system which makes you contract. (they use the chemical version, petocin, to induce labor) If she has a breast pump have her use it for about an hour that will bring on the contractions..
Castor oil may also work but it doesn't always and could just make you sick with diaherra.. and nothing is worse then being overdue and stuck on the toliet..

ha ha, this brought back a funny memory. I was a week late with our daughter and had tried everything, hot baths, walks, etc. My hubby thought a cross-country jeep ride would help, so he loaded me into our CJ7 Jeep and we took off across hill and dale at top speed. Bumpity, bumpity, bump.....Every so often he would stop and look at me, and say...."Anything yet?" I'd say no and off we'd go again. It was fun, but baby said "not yet"....I eventually just had to be induced another week later. But what a memory!!! LOLOLO Good luck with your sister, nature has a way.

My husband took me for a very bumpy off road ride in a 4 wheel drive vehicle.(All safety measures taken of course, he didnt drive fast) I went into labor the next day, it works like a charm, I know others who have done it. Just tell her to be careful, safety first!

I tried castor oil. Don't do it. All it did was make me go to the bathroom 2-3 days.
Just wait on the baby. It will come when it is good and ready. :-)

Alot of people swear by eating eggplant.. or she could ask her OB to be induced.
If this is her first pregnancy the baby could stay put to nearly 42 weeks.
