try a corset over a white peasant shirt.. (if for girl) leave hair long and messy with a bandana somehow tied in. Knee hight boots are a must.. No silly eye patch.. lots of bracelets and not much makeup.. Just red lips. Also if you can find the right pants tuck them into the top of the knee high boots or wear a skirt.

For a man, or woman?
Man--Full sleeved poet shirt, under a vest. Short pants, cuffed if possible. Hose and a small heeled shoe with a buckle. Large leather scabbard looking belt. Overcoat with embellishments on the front. Don't forget the headscarf, maybe red.
Woman-Same sort of out fit, unless you want to try something a little more stylized.
