the whole world knows nelson does lots of pot. the cop coincidentally pulled the bus over and saw it in action.

The fact that Willie Nelson smokes dope was not the best kept secret. I imagine it was like a scene out of a Cheech and Chong movie. The bus pulls over, the door opens and the thick smoke rolls out. Personally I wasn't really shocked to hear he was arrested for possession of pot and shrooms.

It was a huge state secret that Willie use drugs, I seriously doubt that the cops needed Toby Keith to tell them that Willie had dope. There is even the long persistent rumor that when Carter was in the White House Willie went on the roof and fired one up. I hope Willie does not get in too much trouble.

Toby Keith was probably like many others who didn't think it was a secret that Willie smokes pot. It may not have been too bright to say it out loud and let them know where the stash was, but you can hardly say it was surprising, can you?

If Nelson's going to do the crime, he must be willing to do the time. Willie deserved to get caught. He had 1 and 1/2 pounds of weed and psychadelic (sp?) mushrooms on his bus. He is a has been. In my opinion he is actually a "never was". I don't think he is talented, I think he is a countrified old hippie who wouldn't be able to find his way out of a paper bag!
