ABSOLUTELY!!!! You are way to young to have your ovaries out. YOU NEED them. They are what produce all your hormones that make you youthful and sexual and like a woman. If you take them out you will go through a type of menopause. You need your ovaries to protect you from disease that effect women after menopause. Your ovaries tell your body that you are still able to conceive and therefore keep your body in a youthful state. Plus, when you get your tubes tied you still have your uterus...unless they took that out. All your tubes do is give a passage way for the egg to travel from your ovaries to your uterus. Without that passage way your egg cannot get fertilized. The women in your family probably had other issues. Keep your ovaries!!!!!!

Your ovaries are the hormone base of your body.If you have them removed it will be like menopause.I had a total abdominal hysterectomy-I have no female reproductive organs, just a vagina.I had to deal with the menopause thing.I dropped prescription hormones cuz they actually made it worse for me.Night sweats and hot flashes, I rarely have them now and its been 5 years.I'm 35 years old. And it does have a link to pregnancy due to the fact that your eggs come from your ovaries down the Fallopian tube to the uterus where it can become conception of a child.the chick bellow my answer is wrong,I'm way more horny and I don't have to worry about pregnancy under any circumstance. And no they won't take them out unless you medically need them removed.I had Endometriosis, it all had to be removed on me.They knew it needed to be removed but due to my age they were still not happy to take it out.

Doctors will not do an elective hysterectomy. How absurd!

Yes your ovaries produce hormones. They produce estrogen, but that can also be found in the fat cells of your body.

MORE IMPORTANTLY, they produce PROGESTERONE.
Your ovaries produce the majority of the progesterone in your body (it is not stored in fat cells like estrogen). Once you run out of progesterone, you will have unopposed estrogen running wild. This is when the awful side-effects of menopause show up.

Synthetic hormone replacement has been proven to cause cancer. Endometrial cancer is 100% caused by synthetic estrogen. You do NOT want to start there at 26.

Your ovaries, even though youve had your tubes tied, still produce natural hormones such as estrogen. The ovaries are the main source of female hormones. Even after menopause, ovaries secrete hormones that help keep bones strong.

She should be complete with her shots by the time she entered Kindergarten. After that, her Tetinus shot is due 10 years from the time she had her last. A child should not have an anual doctor visit if he/she is healthy, unless there is something to suspect that would alert you make a call. Your one year old is going to be seeing the doctor a lot his/her first year for shots and well baby checks. After the first year, the baby does not need to go in until the age of two. Then after age of two, the next time would be before entering Kindergarten. After Kindergarten, then go in as needed basis (illness or accident), or until the next scheduled shot...which would put you at Tetinus. (sorry about spelling).

Ovaries supply hormones, particularly estrogen When they stop doing that, it is considered menopause. Usually the surgery would be done to prevent ovarian cancer. It has nothing to do with pregnancy. I think you need to have a serious talk with a gynocologist.

Ovaries produce hormones. I would strongly advise AGAINST having them removed. You will not lose your sex drive, for starters.
Hormone Replacement Therapy-which they provide to women without ovaries- has a lot of cancer risks associated with it.

If you want to be over and done with your period, look into Ablation, which is where they scrape or burn off the lining of the uterus. No more periods.

Yes you still need your ovaries to release the hormones you need in your body. If you didn't have ovaries you would need hormone replacement. Why would you want your ovaries taken out ? I really don't understand the reason you would want no ovaries.

Just because other women in your family have had their ovaries removed doesn't mean you will have to as well. And yes it is your choice to have them removed, but I do not know of a doctor that would remove them without probable cause to do so.
