I'm sure the Red Wings have fans all over, a la the Dallas Cowboys or LA Lakers. I live in Habs country, but a store in my neighborhood has a Red Wings "shrine".

There is a Red Wings bar in Downtown Denver, walking distance from the Pepsi Center that has The Centre Ice package, and if the Wings are playing , they are on. The bartenders wear the Winged Wheel sweater on game nights...
A lot of Detroit transplants hang out there...so yes.
And even though the rivalry isnt what it once was, the Wings VS Avs games are always the first to sell out every year! The Wings fans make themselves heard in the arena as well.
