right now i have a boyfriend in italy and i live in new york.
If having a long distance relationship suits both of your lifestyles
then it could work. For us since we are both really busy it can actually be kind of nice because we get a lot of work done and when we do finally have the chance to see each other on holidays and vacations and other trips, it is sooooooo romantic because the saying "absence makes the heart grow fonder" is really true. It just depends if it is ok with both of you.
If he agrees to be in this type of relationship and so do you, it will be fine. On the other hand, if one of you feels insecure all the time and needs to have the reassurance of the other person being there physically, or if the duration of your separation is simply too unbearable for either of you, it wont work. The answer to this question is different for every couple. For me, I love recieving texts in the middle of the night when its 9 am his time, and while im dreaming of him, I get a romantic text message that he dreamed of me too. I think its incredible, and so does he. It just depends. If you are both happy as of right now, dont let other people's skepticism bother you. Just live moment for moment, enjoy the romance, and if things start to not workout at anytime, cross that bridge when you come to it!!!! Do what suits your needs and desires, and dont let what others think of it bother you.

depends on your ages and maturity. trust would be a big factor........ how are you dating with such a distance? are you "online dating"? you can have a meaningful relationship, but what are the real chance of it being a LASTING relationship? are either one of you willing to relocate?

If I were in your shoes, i would ask myself those types of questions. No one on here can tell you if your relationship is meaningful, or can be. EVEN if he lived right next door, only time would tell!!

GOOD LUCK!

Yes!!! You can't be dating, that would mean you go out together! Find someone near you. Besides the guy in California is Probably Married with Children!

your relationship is just a long distance love affair! Am I correct? my opinion is if you were happy and enjoying with him even he is too far, why not. Just always keep in touch with him and maybe soon, you will getting to know each other.

That my love depends on just how much you want it to work, there are many ways and things you can do to help it out... how far do you want it to go... If you really want it and work at it then yes by all means it can work.....ROB

Do you have some part of your life you share with him right now? Do you have plans to ever be together? That's what you need to figure out.
