How come they always "preach" that God has a plan for everyone and that "tho shall not judge one" but yet turn around and judge you behind your back when something happens in your life that is not the "right way?" Examples are having children out of marriage, premarrital sex...

the reason I asked this question was because I was brought up Christian (Methodist). However, since I had my son out of wedlock (oh look, I'm not perfect... I'm a sinner), my grandmother has been so 2 faced to me, and she was the one who always enforced all these "teaching" on me. Therefore, I was more referring to her and some other Christians I know, and ALL Christians in general.

As Believers, we try to be like Christ...but we're only human, and fail most of the time.
And, God does have a plan for all of us, but we often choose to go our own way instead. Again, we're only human.
It's a good thing God forgives, even if people have a hard time doing it.

Because you have a chip on your shoulder perhaps? I only say this because I once felt and said what you have asked. Then one day I realised that I was judging them like I didn't want to be judged. No one is perfect only God is. Some people just get the wrong idea when they say they are Christian and what they think that means. They spend too much time critising others and not looking at themselves. Don't worry about other people's judgements it is only what sits right with you and God that matters!!

I am not sure, but it gives us forgiving Christians a bad name. As I posted in another question, I don't judge, it is up to God to do that. I had a child out of wedlock and I am Christain, therefore I had premarital sex. I sinned. I was not thrown out of any church and I didn't care what others thought of me. I don't think that people have any right to judge you unless they are willing to be judged and we know that they won't want to be.

I was in the baptist church for a long time and I found out that many Christians judge one another that way they do not have to see there own faults. The forget that they we are supposed to be Christ like.

It's easier to preach than to practice. All kinds of people seem to have that problem, although I must say Christians seem to do that particularly much, preaching in people's face while not even practicing what they preach themselves.

Because they follow the bible and not common sense.
The more a christian calls themselves bible based, the scarier they are.
