I'm 15 and I have found that my choice in music is completly different than everyone that I know. Now don't get me wrong, I like my music and I am by no means going to change what I listen too but what i'm asking is do you find it strange that a 15 year old listens to Billy Joel, Elton John, ELO, Paul Simon and Bob Dylan? I have almost every song ever recorded by all of those artists and i listen to my Ipod for at least 6 hours a day... my parents go crazy... their Audiologists... Ironic isnt it...that a ear doctors child loves listning to music...

You have excellent taste in music. Listen to what you like, there's nothing wrong with it. I grew up listening to all those artists, they're great. My husband's neice is like you, she's a little older, but she's been interested in the older rock and rollers since she was about 12 or 13. She always impressed me with her knowledge of all these rock groups. I think it's great! Every Christmas we'd get her cd's or a concert dvd of a group we think she'd like. Anyway, listen and enjoy to your heart's content. The world would be a sad place without music! Oh, and I'm a big Elton fan, also!

Those are great choices...mostly terrific songwriters, with a lot of diversity and poetry in their music. ELO is a little different--but Jeff Lynn's production was exceptional. You're a retro kid, and there's nothing wrong with that. Obviously, you really listen to lyrics.

Hey--I like to listen to old jazz standards, myself, so that's not typical, either, but I'm a lot older than you are, too. LOL.

Keep doing what you're doing!

that's humorous so you might ask that. I have an fairly huge flavor in track, so i visit many times locate some worry-free floor with anybody in my kinfolk, even if, even as i change right into a teenager interior the 80's, i change into(and nonetheless am) an Ozzy enthusiast. My mom is truly non secular and would take all my Ozzy tapes (convinced tapes-there have been no cd's then) and both throw them away or positioned them outdoors. She did not desire them in her domicile. I probable offered all of them a minimum of 6 circumstances earlier I were given smart and were given somewhat field and locked them in it. convinced, i trust that slender-mindedness is a note, even if i'm no longer confident if it will be hyphenated.

COOL!!!! WAY COOL!!!!!
Be your own person musically. I am and was. I currently listen to jazz, blues, classic rock, some country, Christian contemporary.
I even like a little Brazilian, bluegrass, and flamenco. You're not a cookie cutter when it comes to music tastes. You're me, many years later. I grew up on the people you are fans of.
