Im refering to australian size 12 clothes , think its equiv. to size 10 american

Depends on your height but in general terms I'd say definitely not. I'm 5'4 and size 10/12, and I'm far from big! Even 14-16 isn't overly large, especially if you're tall or carry a lot of muscle bulk.

To clarify for others...using an online converter gives AUS size 12 = US size 8. And plus sizes here start (I think) at size 18.

No not at all.Size 12 is perfectly normal & healthy.
