A branch of the military staged a coup d'etat, a revolution of sorts. Because of it the Prime Minister was ousted, and he's stranded in the U.S. embassy in New York City, New York, here in the United States.

hopefully the solution to the problems that thaksin has caused. we have been waiting for someone with enough power to kick his *** out of office for a long time. unfortunately only the army can do that because he has bribed and bought so much security for himself. as to the 'unacceptability' of it...... unacceptable to who? the us? uk? who cares..... WE live here, and he had to go. dont feel sorry for him.....his pockets are lined with enough cash money to buy tahiti. thailand is gonna be a big party this weekend i tell ya!
