I just bought a new new medium skin starter kit last week. When i first put it on, it looks great. I use the foundation, concealer, blue, and mineral veil. However, after a few hours, it started to fade and my skin looked blotchy again, with my redspots and acne scars showing again. I hate having to retouch my makeup during the day and do the whole routine all over again. How would i get my makeup to last even longer?

Hi there!

I've been using BE for about 2 years, and I love it! You can try a couple things to make it last longer.

1. Like someone said earlier, make sure your application is right. A lot of people think they can get away with regular makeup brushes, and you really need special brushes for mineral makeup. I use a bobbi brown kabuki brush instead of the BE brushes for foundation (the BE brushes are terrible!).

2. Try applying your mineral veil before and after your foundation.

3. You can get extra coverage by using your finger to spot apply the foundation. Just swirl your ring finger around in the top. This will emulsify the powder, and then you can apply it like a regular concealer. Set with mineral veil after the pre-conceal and then apply foundation.

4. The more layers you set, the more layers will last. So apply mineral veil before concealing, after concealing, and after foundation. THEN apply color cosmetics, and veil again.

5. If ALL of those fail, try a skin primer like Tarte's Clean Slate. Or a makeup setting spray like Model in a Bottle.

Also, unless you have really oil free skin...it's very likely you'll have to powder or blot at some point in the day. No makeup is THAT perfect...even though the infomercial would have us believe otherwise.

Good Luck!

This might be caused by a wrong application. Try putting some moisturizer on before any makeup. Any makeup fades, though. Try adding just the light powder more often. If that doesn't work, I would go in and tell them. They're much happier in person than the phone! Good luck!

Try a primer. But I have been using it for 3 years and I am starting to notice that it does not work as good as before, I heard about Senna Mineral Mix... I am going to try it and see whats better

I use it and I love it. It last all day for me. I never have to touch up. Try a different application brush. Mine came with 2 application brushes and I have to use the full cover brush. I got a dvd with my kit and It really helped.

Try moisturizing before applying the make-up. Also, after you're done spray a little bit of hair spray onto your face(hold the can about 7-10 in. from your face). It'll hold the make-up in place, and last longer.

to be honest (I had fallen for the same lie). Their products do not stay on no matter what they say or what you do! I finally went back to my Merle Norman products, you know, the stuff that stays on even in the swimming pool or the shower.

It worked terribly for me too. But my sister wears it and it looks great on her. It just might not work well with something in your skin. I resigned myself to using other things.
